Located in Sippy Downs is the University of the Sunshine Coast, one of Australia’s highest-rated public universities for teaching quality, overall student experience, learning resources, student support, skills development and social equity.  With more than 120 programs, there is something for everyone.

The University opened its doors in 1996 with 524 students as the Sunshine Coast University College.  The university changed to its current name of the University of the Sunshine Coast (USC) in 1999.
